The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) today unveiled the new logo of the WBSC U-19 Women’s Softball World Cup, the pinnacle youth women’s international softball competition. The new emblem will be rolled out for the youth Softball World Cup
this year, which takes place in Irvine, California, USA, from 11-17 August. This event will include the best 16 junior softball teams in the world set to compete For the Title of World Champion.
The logo shows a softball pitcher in an iconic windmill position, the most emblematic figure of the sport. The circle lines representing the traditional movement of the throwing arm, also symbolise the dynamics and speed of the sport.
The forward movement of the entire image expresses the continuous path of growth softball has been onin the last years and the commitment to continually develop the sport.
The colour scheme include bright and lively hues of yellow and orange. A traditional yellow ball in the very top of the logo represents not only the singularity of the sport, but also the main dream of the young softball athletes around the world: being a world champion and earning gold medal wearing their National Team jersey.
The full tournament logo will include the official name of the event, including the WBSC mark, and the host nation’s flag and city as well as the year of event.
